This is an unused vintage 1970s camp jacket made in a shirt styled red and blacbuffalo plaid wool and viscose blended fabric. This vintage 1970s camp jacket has a straight collar, five button closure and a button-down flapped pocket at either side of the chest. It is unlined. The barrel cuffs close with a single button. The jacket still retains its original Cockatoo hang tag as well as the price ticket under the collar - it looks like it started at $38.95 (substantial money during the early 1970s) and was reduced to $19.95 (see close-up photo)
Label: Cockatoo Made in China. This vintage 1970s camp jacket was made in China at a time when they were producing very good quality for export to Canada. You don’t often see Chinese exports of this era as there had been a US embargo on trade until President Nixon established ties with China. Canada had established trade with China during the 60s. This was because there was mass starvation in China in 1960 and Canada came to China’s aid by supplying large amounts of wheat when no one else would help.
Sizing: The label reads S for small, but please rely on the following measurements for fit:

Sleeves: 23” long from the shoulder shoulder seam
